In Food & Nutrition, pupils will:
- Working safely in the food room.
- Handling meat safely.
- The Eat Well Guide and basic nutrition.
- How to complete basic cooking techniques.
- How to use standard kitchen equipment such as ovens and hobs.
- How to demonstrate effective cleaning practices in the food room.
Cook the following recipes:
- Pasta Salad
- Banging Bean Curry
- Vegetable Soup
- Brilliant Burgers
- Fruit Scones
- Carrot Cakes
- Christmas practical – Gingerbread
