Working in partnership with St Neots Town Football Club, we are proud to deliver a high-quality football scholarship program that places the students at the forefront of what we do. Students enrolling in our football program study either Level 2 or Level 3 Sports related courses, and are provided access to regular football training and competitive fixtures as part of their academic timetable. Alternatively, students may elect to study other courses within the St Neots Sixth Form, and still access the football opportunities on offer. In addition, students wishing to follow a coaching or leadership pathway are provided the opportunity to further their experience in this area.
The academic lessons are delivered by PE specialists from across the St Neots Learning Partnership Trust. As a result, students will receive the very highest standard of education possible that will ensure students leave the program with qualifications that help them meet their future aspirations. Current scholarship student destinations include university study in the UK, university study in America as part of a football program, and apprenticeships and careers within the sport sector.
All football aspects of the program are delivered by UEFA qualified coaches from the football club, ensuring that a players football development is a key part of the program. Scholarship students have the opportunity to play football within a range of competitive settings, including college league/cup fixtures and under-18 leagues, and also the program can provide a potential pathway through the reserves to the first team squad and beyond. Alternatively, students within the scholarship can continue to play for their current clubs, receiving the benefit of regular high quality football coaching and playing opportunities.
The football scholarship is open to post-16 boys and girls who are highly motivated to achieve the very best in both their academic studies, and within their football.
