Year 11 Prom
I am pleased to inform you of the proposed arrangements for the Year 11 Leavers Prom. This event will be an opportunity for Year 11 students to celebrate their time at Ernulf Academy. The Prom will take place on Friday 5 July 2019 at Slepe Hall, St Ives.
As the affair is a formal event, we would request that students dress appropriately in evening attire. Students are expected to provide their own transport to and from the venue and we would request that parents/carers or other responsible persons are available at the end of the evening to escort their child home.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available and these are included in the ticket price. There will be a disco during the evening and a photo booth. All photos from the photo booth will be free of charge.
We will be asking for a deposit of £15 to secure an invitation nearer the time. If an insufficient number of tickets are requested however, the event will not take place and a refund will be arranged. Further details of how to purchase tickets will be included in the letter of invitation.
Students will be invited depending on the criteria outlined below:
Good Attendance (as of week commencing 10 December 2018)
Attendance at Tutorial/Registration/Assemblies
Attendance at all required Intervention sessions
Adhering to Academy expectations with regard to behaviour, uniform and jewellery
Students meeting the above criteria can expect a letter of invitation immediately after the Easter break. We advise that students do not buy/rent any evening attire until they receive a letter confirming their invitation.
Students should see their invitation to the Prom as a privilege, which has been earned by their hard work over the past year. As such, any student who disrupts the learning of others may have the privilege of attending the Prom withdrawn. This will also apply to the Leavers’ Ceremony held in the school.
