Homework Year 9, 10 and 11

All homework in years 9-11 is submitted electronically via Microsoft Teams. The attached timetable below shows the submission days. Failure to submit homework on the due day will incur a C2 same day detention.

Extra guidance:

Year 9 – The weekly homework will take approximately 40 minutes per subject to complete. Home Learning will also be set each half term in Food and Nutrition, Music, Media Studies, Technology, Art and Drama. This will be a mixture of written, research and practical tasks appropriate to the topic being studied.

Years 10- and 11 – At Key Stage 4, the amount of time needed to complete a weekly homework will vary, depending on the student’s ability and target grade. Since pupils study fewer subjects (having chosen their options), expect your child to have approximately one hour of homework per subject per week. Please note, at KS4 subjects will also set additional tasks at certain times of the year to prepare for key assessments, mocks or examinations.
